John McColley was born in the middle of a cornfield in Middletown Indiana. Raised in a musical family, he took piano lessons from a stranger and guitar lessons from his dad. He has played with such highly memorable bands as: The Publiminal Sigs, Hell's Booty, and Pete's Eye; opening for the Deftones, Goldfinger, Eels and Def Leppard among others.
Between his bandmates drug problems and an annoying urge to share, he moved to the mountain town of Flagstaff AZ, got a job doing reforestation work, and planted hundreds of thousands of pine trees around the SW United States. Life on the road changed not only his perspective, but also his attitude toward making music.
In 2004, he relocated to Portland OR to focus on new material. Through playing open mics and coffee shops, he found Adam Cain and they've been playing noisy, beautiful, heartfelt music ever since...
Adam Cain was born in Denver CO. He moved from there at a young age and grew up North Carolina. He began playing the coronet in gradeschool, learned drums by himself at home and eventually bought his own drum kit in college, shortly after playing in bands such as Face on the east coast and The Good Heathens here in Portland.
Adam began working as a CAD drafter right out of college and has been doing that on and off since. During the most memorable off-time, Adam remained homeless for nearly 5 years up and down the west coast.
In 2002, he hitchiked back here to Portland, got a job and a life, and has been here since. This time on the streets taught Adam alot about himself and the limits of his personal strength. He is fascinated with astrology and believes that within it lies some simple facts or truths that might give validity to the secrets of spiriuality. |
